Cheryl Cole could be moved aside once again as Charlotte Church looks set to snap up a judging role on upcoming BBC show The Voice, which Chezza had originally been lined up for.
Not only would missing out on a spot on
The Voice UK be a bitter pill for Cheryl to swallow, given that she was sacked from the US X Factor panel and then subsequently lost a spot on the UK version of the talent show, but it would also mean her losing out to her arch nemesis Church if the former opera singer were to take up the BBC's offer.
However, the broadcaster isn't giving Cheryl the shove - the BBC are after both ladies but pals have already insisted the Girls Aloud singer would never go for it if Charlotte were to be involved.
A show source told the Sun: 'Cheryl won't be pleased to learn that Charlotte is up for The Voice.
'She's keen on doing it as it will be a sensational return to UK telly after her humiliation on
the X Factor USA.
'But there's way too much bad blood between her and Charlotte, they'd just end up arguing all the time.'
Both ladies have a strong history in being TV judges. Cheryl has three years’ experience being an X Factor judge and mentor while Charlotte is no stranger to reality TV either, having judged on Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Over The Rainbow.
Charlotte ad Cheryl’s showbiz feud kicked off in 2005 when Church released her first pop album Tissues and Issues which Chez slammed as being a 'rip-off' of Girls Aloud’s sound.
Riled Charlotte then hit out at the five-piece band, describing them as ‘five dogs without balls.’
But Cheryl, never one to take abuse lying down, then stuck the knife into Charlotte's then-relationship with rugby player Gavin Henson, saying: ‘I don't know who she and her scabby boyfriend think they are. He's a posing idiot who looks like a girl. And she's not even gorgeous.
'She's a nasty little piece of work with a fat head.'
The feud continued when Cheryl got her break on the X factor with Charlotte saying: 'I watch The X Factor in awe. Cheryl really has no idea that she can't sing at all – she tells people the strangest things about their voice when they are in fact great and far better than her.'
New show The Voice, based on the US version where Cee Lo Green and Christina Aguilera sit on the judging panel for, is reported to be pulling out all the stops to get a good judging line-up in a bid to rival the X Factor.
But if they do manage to secure both Cheryl and Charlotte, they needn't worry about pulling in viewers as, with a fiery duo like that, the ratings are sure to soar through the roof...
