The winner of the first series of The Voice UK will sign with Universal Music, it has been revealed. Universal, who looks after some of the UK’s biggest stars – including former X Factor judge Cheryl Cole – will take charge of the music career of the singer crowned ‘The Voice UK


It has also been confirmed today that the show’s format will match that of the US one, featuring blind auditions, battle rounds and, finally, the live shows.

By the final, the four coaches will each have one at left in their group, who will all go head to head with one another in the grand final.

Only one can walk away with the top prize of a recording contract with Universal.
